Standpoint recognizes and thanks outgoing Executive Director Rana Alexander!

Please join the Standpoint Board of Directors in thanking Rana Alexander for her tireless work towards justice for domestic and sexual violence victims across Minnesota!

Rana began with the organization in 2005 and provided needed services and leadership for our then young organization until she was welcomed as Executive Director in 2016. In her time as Executive Director, Rana has seen the staff grow from 2 to 15 fulltime staff. The organizational budget started at $200,000 and has grown to a sustainable budget of 1.2 Million. Rana has seen the organization through our name change to Standpoint and the simplified but impactful current mission, vision and value statements. Rana took on major changes to policy and updated technology to match the organizations growth and meet the needs of victims. Rana accomplished this, and more, during the COVID Pandemic and through the civil unrest after the murder of George Floyd. One of Rana’s greatest impacts outside the organization has been the hundreds of trainings provided to professionals across the state and country. Confidentially and advocate privilege is one of her greatest areas of expertise and she argued and aided in upholding this before the Minnesota Supreme Court. Thank you, Rana, for all you do for victims, survivors, and the professionals committed to a more just society!

The Board is also excited to announce that Rana will be remaining with Standpoint and will continue to provide strong financial leadership as Director of Finance. This transition will occur July 1st, 2023. Thank you again to Rana for your dedication and leadership and we look forward to our continued work together.

In Solidarity,
Standpoint Board of Directors
