We are thrilled to announce that registration for New Laws 2025 is now officially OPEN!
We know your calendars are packed, your hearts are full, and your phones never stop ringing. But even superheroes need training updates, fresh tools, and time to connect with others who get it.
Our annual New Laws training program is the most visible of our programs. It is the single greatest source of up-to-date legal information to advocates and professionals. New Laws effectively utilizes a "Train the Trainer" model, where critical information is provided to a core group of people who then disburse it in wider circles. The first day of New Laws provides attendees with Special Topic presentations. The second day focuses on changes in statutory and case law, both in Minnesota and Federally, that have occurred in the previous year and have an impact on sexual and domestic violence.
Can’t wait to see you on the road!
Starting Memorial Day week to Labor Day week, Standpoint’s Action Line will shift to summer hours:
⏰ New Hours:
Monday – Thursday
9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Our team remains here to support advocates and victim/survivors of domestic and sexual violence with legal advice and legal advocacy. If you reach us outside of these hours, please leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Wishing you a safe and healthy summer!

The Office on Violence Against Women just withdrew all their 2025 funding opportunities. This is a major blow to victims services programs across the U.S. and we need your help TODAY to contact your members of Congress to advocate for continuation of these funding opportunities. Please see the images [and in the comments of this post] for instructions and a script for contacting your members of Congress. #OVWSavesLives #NoMoreSurvivorServicesCuts
