LEGAL ASSISTANCE FOR VICTIMS (LAV) GRANT

In partnership with Sexual Violence Services of Ramsey County (SOS), Standpoint offers direct services to victims/survivors of non–intimate-partner sexual violence.
We serve victim-survivors who live or have a legal issue in Ramsey County.

Upon receiving a Legal Assistance for Victims (LAV) grant, we hired an attorney, Michelina Lucia, to represent clients in an array of cases, as well as two advocates, Raschon and Sam.  As a team, Raschon, Sam and Michelina provide numerous layers of support to clients. Specifically, the attorney provides guidance, advice, and representation around any issues stemming from sexual violence, including but not limited to, immigration, housing, Title IX, family, employment, and others. Raschon and Sam help clients connect with and navigate services within the community specifically tailored to their legal needs with the goal of providing an emotional support network. Together, the LAV team provides holistic services to victim/survivors of sexual violence.

Below is an overview of some of our practice areas, but is not an exhaustive list.

The LAV Project does not represent victims in tort suits, appeals, child protection matters, victims of intimate partner violence or victims under the age of 11. However, Standpoint may be able to provide referrals for these matters.
