Representing Trafficking Victims in T-visa Applications

This training follows a case study of a trafficking victim; through this narrative, you will learn skills in the identification and representation of labor-trafficked victims in T-visa applications before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service.  This legal training will provide attorneys with materials to help them prepare T-visa applications, address current issues with filing and examine attorney biases that can hinder representation of trafficked clients.  (1.0 Elimination of Bias credit applied for)

Presented by Siv Dobrovolny, Youth Labor Trafficking Project Attorney at Standpoint. Siv has been working in the field of domestic and sexual violence since 2006 with an expertise in human trafficking. She has represented both sex and labor trafficked victims and trained extensively on identification and representation of survivors.
